[Barcelona, Spain, February 28, 2023] During the 2023 Mobile World Congress (MWC 2023), Huawei took a significant step forward in the campus network domain by launching seven new flagship campus products, an intelligent video conference assurance solution, and an EasyBranch solution. These new offerings speak to Huawei's dedication to helping customers build a simplified campus network with a spectacular experience through its CloudCampus 3.0 solution.
Leon Wang, President of the Campus Network Domain, Huawei's Data Communication Product Line, launches new products and solutionsAs today's digital transformation gains momentum, the work and production paradigms of enterprises have been experiencing disruptive changes. One obvious trend is the increasing convergence of office and production networks. As such, many enterprises, especially those in the manufacturing sector, have been pursuing "data to the cloud, intelligence to endpoints" as their network construction standard.
Plus, 85% of enterprises migrate their services to the cloud, where they can draw on the flexibility and scalability of the cloud to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Furthermore, with the growing adoption of multimedia services such as audio and video conferencing, enterprise networks are transforming from providing best-effort connections to delivering a mind-blowingly good experience.
In keeping with these trends, Huawei launched purpose-built products and solutions tailored to different campus scenarios at this year's MWC.
• For office campuses, Huawei unveiled the industry's first enterprise-class Wi-Fi 7 AP AirEngine 8771-X1T along with a next-generation flagship core switch CloudEngine S16700, propelling enterprise networks into a new era of 10 Gbps fully-wireless access and a 400 Gbps campus core. To ensure the ultimate office experience, Huawei made another groundbreaking milestone by launching a first-of-its-kind experience assurance card. This card, in tandem with Huawei iMaster NCE and AirEngine Wi-Fi products, can create an end-to-end audio and video conference and VIP user experience assurance solution. The resulting benefits include more than 90% accuracy in predicting video stuttering, and fast locating of video issues in minutes.
• For production campuses, Huawei proposed a simplified production network with IT and OT convergence at the network and device levels. This new network converges the OT, office IT, and production IT networks. Specifically, at the network level, Huawei's Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) switch CloudEngine S5735I-H stands out for deterministic latency, meeting the low latency and high reliability requirements of industrial control. At the device level, Huawei's new industrial router NetEngine AR631I integrates SD-WAN, security, routing, and switching functions, making it ideal for multi-branch scenarios such as Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) and substations.
• For branch campuses, Huawei announced the EasyBranch solution, a solution unique within the industry. This solution adopts a simplified architecture that consists of the NetEngine AR5710-S gateway, Remote Unit (RU), and AirEngine AP. This ensures one gateway for one branch network and makes it easier to deploy, expand, and manage branch networks. For headquarters campuses, Huawei unveiled its next-generation high-reliability and high-performance SD-WAN converged gateway NetEngine AR8700. This new product features dual Service and Router Units (SRUs) for high reliability and is powerful to support 3,000 branches on one network, enabling unified management of up to 20,000 Network Elements (NEs). Huawei also released the industry's first large-capacity cloud gateway, the NetEngine AR6700V, which supports unlimited scaling and lets you build a site-to-cloud network that is secure, easy to deploy, and provides a consistent experience anytime, anywhere.
Leon Wang, President of the Campus Network Domain, Huawei's Data Communication Product Line, said, "Huawei constantly innovates and dives into the fully-wireless, intelligent campus network domain to help customers build simplified campus networks with the amazing experience and simplified O&M, thereby inspiring digital innovation."
Huawei's campus network products and solutions serve customers in diverse sectors such as public service, education, healthcare, manufacturing, finance, and energy in more than 170 countries and regions, helping them build a solid digital foundation on their digital transformation journey.
