Networks in the manufacturing industry, particularly production networks, are critical to all aspects of production and management. Before their digital intelligent transformation, XCMG were up against insufficient performance, difficult maintenance, and difficult evolution in its factory network. After choosing Huawei's FTTM solution, XCMG built a state-of-the-art production network that features deterministic experience, ultra-high bandwidth, high security, and all-optical connections, as well as simplified architecture, evolution, and O&M.

The network has been performing efficiently, securely, and stably. It reduces the number of maintenance nodes by 60% and allows the entire factory network to be maintained by only one technician, achieving efficient and low-cost production. The campus office network with fiber-to-the-desktop and passive links reduces the extra-low voltage (ELV) room space by 70% and improves the deployment efficiency by 60%.

The FTTM practice of XCMG is no doubt a total success. The new campus network allows for simple and fast deployment, stable operation, large capacity, easy management and maintenance, high cost-effectiveness, on-demand investment, and high utilization. Next, XCMG plans to extend the FTTM network to all its production lines to further advance their intelligence and efficiency.
