[Shenzhen, China, April 10, 2026] During the Optical Fiber Communication Conference and Exposition (OFC), Lightwave, a leading global optical networking media outlet, announced the 2026 Lightwave Innovation Reviews Honorees. Huawei's Fiber to the Office (FTTO) Suite solution was recognized as an honoree in the Wi-Fi Solutions category.

Huawei FTTO Suite solution is built on Huawei's FTTO solution, and is specifically designed to address the common needs of small and midsize campus customers. The solution integrates all-in-one optical line terminals (OLTs) and all-scenario Wi-Fi 7 optical access points (APs) to provide full coverage for campuses. It also uses Huawei's unique FTTO Planner—a one-click intelligent network planning tool—to enhance efficiency across network experience, planning, delivery, and operations and maintenance (O&M). In addition, the solution uses Seamless Roaming Coordinated Network (SRCN) technology to ensure fast and uninterrupted roaming throughout the campus.
Compared with traditional offerings, this solution features fast planning, fast delivery, fast connections, and easy O&M, empowering small and midsize campuses to construct high-speed Wi-Fi networks:
• Fast planning: The solution uses Huawei's FTTO Planner to automatically collect statistics on data points, select device models, plan networks, and generate estimations with a single click. This shortens the planning period from weeks to hours. In addition, the solution supports automatic planning and intelligent simulation and optimization for optical APs. This improves network planning efficiency by more than 90%.
• Fast delivery: Optical network units (ONUs) support blind mate and plug-and-play, enabling service provisioning within 1 minute by QR code scanning. Moreover, together with the field mountable connector (FMC), an optical/electrical hybrid cable can be connected in under 1 minute through mechanical splicing. The low-level design (LLD) tool automatically generates configuration commands, implementing fast deployment and service provisioning, reducing labor costs, and halving the project delivery period.
• Fast connections: Integral to the solution, a range of Wi-Fi 7 optical APs are designed for diverse scenarios—from high-density rooms to workspaces, conference halls, and both indoor and outdoor environments—delivering blazing-fast 10 Gbps access. Additionally, the OLT integrates a built-in wireless controller, enabling centralized management and real-time optimization of all optical APs to enhance network experience. Leveraging Huawei's unique SRCN technology, the solution guarantees Wi-Fi roaming latency under 20 ms, delivering a fast and seamless roaming experience for users.
• Easy O&M: The network management system (NMS) comes in multiple forms, dramatically simplifying O&M. The compact standalone NMS reduces costs while maintaining all functions. The MSP NMS platform is based on the multi-tenancy mechanism and allows partners to perform O&M for customers. The FTTO analyzer implements visualized management of Wi-Fi networks, with 24/7 fault playback and one-click fault locating, boosting O&M efficiency by up to 60%.
To date, more than 15,000 enterprise customers worldwide have adopted Huawei FTTO solution, spanning sectors such as education, healthcare, and hospitality. Huawei will continue to upgrade the FTTO Suite solution, empowering small and midsize campuses to succeed in the AI era.
