[Dubai, UAE, October 16, 2024] At the GITEX GLOBAL 2024, the OceanClub data storage technology community launched its online platform (Middle East & Central Asia) and the elite expert program, where 6 members were selected as elite experts, working to build a local storage technology circle and drive the digital future.
The rapid growth of AI in recent years has catalyzed a data awakening, heralding a period on data monetization. Built on the core concepts of openness, collaboration, and innovation, the OceanClub community provides offline circle events and online discussions for its members.
Offline, members have the opportunity to meet face-to-face for in-depth discussions on the latest industry trends. In 2024, the community held over 400 offline circle events across 30 countries and regions in key sectors like finance, manufacturing, education, and healthcare. These events also included industry discussions, expert insights, and POC (proof of concept) demos, earning wide recognition from participants.
Online, the platform hosts anytime, anywhere interaction and communication services such as online registration for circle events, technical Q&A, and discussions on trending topics. In addition, the platform provides a bonus point incentive mechanism. Members who engage with these events—such as delivering presentations or speeches, publishing articles, or simply sharing knowledge—will receive bonus points that are redeemable for gifts or exclusive visits to renowned enterprises.
Robin Ding, Head of OceanClub Community, expressed that the elite expert program aims to encourage senior local storage experts to share their experiences and support one another, building an expert network to promote the innovative application of data storage technologies and drive industry consensus.
6 members from UAE and Saudi Arabia are the first batch of elite experts in the community. They have significant achievements and experience in their respective fields. As elite experts, these members will provide valuable insights to the community and help drive its continued growth.
