[Shenzhen, China, June 4, 2026] At the 2026 Global Education & Healthcare Partners China Convention, Huawei introduced four future-oriented data infrastructure solutions for the healthcare industry.
The new solutions are a Core Medical Systems Convergence Solution that breaks down traditional siloed architectures; an AI Data Lake Solution that provides a strong data foundation for training large models for healthcare; an AI Data Platform that enables AI-assisted diagnosis and treatment; and the next-generation OceanProtect solution, which strengthens healthcare data resilience. Together, these solutions enable the intelligent transformation of healthcare institutions.

Jeff Wu, Vice President of Huawei Data Storage Product Line, delivering a keynote speech
At the convention, Jeff Wu, Vice President of Huawei Data Storage Product Line, delivered a keynote speech titled Data Awakening, Infra Evolving. He discussed how healthcare is seeing some of the fastest intelligent transformation among industries, with data infrastructure playing a critical role. Huawei Data Storage has helped over 3,900 healthcare institutions intelligently transform with its comprehensive products and solutions.
AI healthcare is witnessing rapid development in multimodal large-model capabilities, with data infrastructure developing in three key directions: converged data infrastructure is becoming essential for core medical systems like HIS and PACS; data infrastructure is playing a key role in AI-assisted diagnosis and treatment; and healthcare institutions of all sizes are strengthening data resilience to address growing data security risks.
Huawei has developed four future-oriented data infrastructure solutions for the healthcare industry.
This solution integrates OceanStor Dorado all-flash storage, DCS virtualization software, and the DME management platform into a unified infrastructure. A single storage system supports SAN, NAS, and object protocols, meeting the needs of core healthcare systems while greatly simplifying hardware deployment and reducing O&M costs. The gateway-free active-active deployment across different protocols ensures high service continuity. Delivering up to 100 million IOPS and a latency of 0.03 ms, the solution efficiently eliminates system freezes during peak hours.
This solution uses OceanStor Pacific all-flash scale-out storage, which delivers industry-leading capacity density that enables optimal total cost of ownership (TCO) for massive data storage. DME Omni-Dataverse provides a unified data space for real-time ingestion of multimodal data across campuses and retrieval from exabyte-scale datasets in seconds.
After deploying this solution, IHH Healthcare, a world-class private healthcare group, reduced pathology analysis latency from 500 ms to 40 ms, greatly enhancing its diagnosis and treatment efficiency.
Huawei's innovative "3+1" AI Data Platform integrates a knowledge base, KV cache store, and memory bank. The platform's Unified Cache Manager (UCM) provides hierarchical data management and smart scheduling to meet the stringent requirements of AI-assisted diagnosis and treatment for accurate long-sequence inference.
A leading hospital in China deployed this solution for its specialized medical knowledge bases, increasing knowledge retrieval accuracy to more than 95%.
The newly launched OceanProtect X8100 and OceanProtect 9100 backup storage systems deliver a compression ratio of 90:1 and up to 198 TB/h recovery speeds. The AI-powered detection cards of these systems enable 99.99% ransomware detection accuracy.
Looking ahead, Huawei Data Storage will continue to work with the healthcare industry and industry partners to advance AI data infrastructure products and solutions. This will support the intelligent transformation of healthcare institutions of all sizes and stimulate the high-quality development of smart healthcare.
