[Hong Kong, China, October 13, 2023] HUAWEI eKit held a new product launch in Hong Kong on October 13 and exhibited distribution products for SOHO offices, hotels, catering, real estate, retailers, and several other scenarios. Adhering to its business strategy that is distribution partner-led and subcontractor-centric, by integrating policies, products, solutions, services, and digital tool platforms, HUAWEI eKit will help distribution partners in Hong Kong continuously explore the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) market, so as to better meet the digital and intelligent transformation requirements of SMEs and end users in Hong Kong. Jointly held by Huawei and Synnex Technology International (HK) Limited, the launch event attracted more than 100 distribution partners.
In May this year, Huawei released HUAWEI eKit, a sub-brand dedicated to SME customers and partners. Policies, products, solutions, services, and digital tool platforms are integrated on HUAWEI eKit to build end-to-end enterprise digital solutions. In the fertile land of the SME market, HUAWEI eKit grows together with partners and helps thousands of enterprises go digital with its intelligent products and solutions.
Facing the vast SME market, Huawei will rely more on the power of local partners—through partner enablement, it will adopt the distribution model for market expansion. Mr. Derek Hao, President of Global Marketing, Huawei Enterprise Business Group, pointed out in his speech that Huawei builds its business system based on a distribution market strategy that is distribution partner-led and subcontractor-centric. Through continuous innovation, Huawei provides competitive products and high-level services to support excellent distribution partners around the world to explore the SME market.
Mr. Derek Hao, President of Global Marketing, Huawei Enterprise Business GroupHuawei offers dedicated support to distribution partners in four aspects:
(1) Partner policies: Huawei has worked out partner development plans, increased the number of like-minded partners, continuously enabled them, and built a healthy and orderly partner system. Additionally, Huawei provides competitive partner incentive solutions.
(2) Marketable products: Since this year, Huawei has developed more than 50 products dedicated for distribution for the SME market, covering over 30 business scenarios. These products are specially designed in terms of performance, functions, installation, management, usability, appearance, and cost to better meet the requirements of SMEs, providing more convenience for distribution partners in sales, installation, and delivery.
(3) HUAWEI eKit has specially planned marketing resources to support partners in promotion and lower-level partner development.
(4) Dedicated IT tool platform: HUAWEI eKit official website and app have both been rolled out in Hong Kong. Resources are provided in five aspects: transaction, partner operation, partner enablement, service, and marketing. The digital platform enables partners to obtain all kinds of resources more quickly and conveniently.
Huawei alone cannot expand the distribution market. By developing new products and scenario-based solutions, Huawei provides support on digital transaction and operation as well as brand marketing, cultivates partners' capabilities, and establishes a flat and efficient partner system to jointly expand the market with partners. Huawei needs to develop truly capable gold distribution partners to provide stock, logistics, marketing, and enablement support for lower-level partners. Huawei needs also to work with gold distribution partners to develop more elite distribution partners that provide pre-sales, in-sales, and after-sales support for subcontractors and end users. In addition, Huawei needs to guide elite distribution partners to develop and serve more subcontractors, offering these subcontractors a variety of products so as to expand market coverage.
Derek Hao said, "Hong Kong is a city full of vitality and opportunities. It is one of the key markets for Huawei. Huawei will continue to focus on distribution partners and subcontractors, innovate products and services, and improve the competitiveness of these products and services, in order to better serve and support our excellent distribution partners here in exploring the SME market."
The core of distribution business lies in the product. HUAWEI eKit has developed a series of products for scenarios such as SOHO offices, hotels, catering, real estate, and retailers, including smart terminals, wired and wireless networks that integrate IP and optical technologies, and storage IT platforms. In the first half of this year, HUAWEI eKit has released 31 products. At HUAWEI CONNECT 2023 in September, another 17 products have been released. It is estimated that more than 50 new products in total will be released in 2023.
At the launch event, Synnex Technology International (HK) Limited, one of Huawei's distribution partners in Hong Kong, was invited to share its practices in the distribution market and stories about cooperation with Huawei. Mr. Kelvin Ho, Senior Director of Synnex Technology International (HK) Limited, said: "Synnex is delighted to be the only gold partner of HUAWEI eKit in Hong Kong. The cooperation between Synnex and Huawei will bring brand new smart experience to the Hong Kong distribution market. HUAWEI eKit fully considers the characteristics of Hong Kong users and designs marketable products as well as efficient IT tools. By building a more complete distribution system and easy-to-use applications, HUAWEI eKit helps more gold and elite distribution partners better serve installers, expand the distribution market, and provide one-stop intelligent services for more SMEs."
Mr. Kelvin Ho Senior Director of Synnex Technology International (HK) LimitedMr. Gary Fung, Senior Solution Architect (HCIE R&S) of Huawei Hong Kong Enterprise Business Group, pointed out: "To further adapt to Hong Kong users and markets, the launched HUAWEI eKit products are designed based on the commercial market and geographical features of the small-sized SOHO in Hong Kong. For example, an all-in-one device that integrates routing, switching, and PoE+ power supply can implement the functions of three devices. Huawei hopes to establish a distribution system with clear prices and sound architectures in Hong Kong, build professional distribution teams through customized training on gold partners, improve the efficiency of Hong Kong's traditional distribution market in inventory, ordering, and authorization, and promote the sustainable development of the distribution market as well as ecosystem."
Mr. Gary Fung, Senior Solution Architect (HCIE R&S) of Huawei Hong Kong Enterprise Business GroupIn the future, HUAWEI eKit will continue to design marketable products in Hong Kong based on the characteristics of Hong Kong users, build stable channels, help distribution partners develop subcontractors and installers through marketing and IT tool platforms, and work with partners to promote the expansion of the SME market in Hong Kong.
Following the successful holding of this first launch event in Hong Kong, HUAWEI eKit will carry out local activities in many other regions around the world. It will continuously design marketable distribution products, optimize channel systems, and maintain a healthy market order. HUAWEI eKit aims to accelerate the digital transformation of global SMEs by working with its distribution partners to bring better products and solutions to the SMEs.
