An industrial Optical Network Unit (ONU) in Huawei's Industrial Optical Network Solution, OptiXstar T823E-D features either two Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) or 10-Gigabit-Capable Symmetric Passive Optical Network (XGS-PON) ports on the network side, and eight GE ports, featuring Power over Ethernet Plus Plus (PoE++) support, on the user side. Providing high-performance forwarding capabilities, the device is central to production network solutions in a wide range of industries, from transportation to electric power.
