Indonesia RSUD dr. Tjitrowardojo Hospital — Delivering quality healthcare services with Huawei eKit

Project Background

Tjitrowardojo Hospital (RSTW), located in Central Java, Indonesia, is a government hospital committed to delivering quality healthcare services to local residents and surrounding communities. The hospital comprises multiple buildings, including the newly constructed VVIP Building — Bima Building, which offers high-standard medical care and a comfortable environment for VIP patients.

The new VVIP building at Tjitrowardojo Hospital suffered from unstable connectivity, coverage gaps, and unmanaged switches that failed to control traffic. By deploying Huawei Wi-Fi 6 AP362E and AP266 with smart antennas, load balancing, and smart roaming, the hospital achieved full coverage and high-speed connectivity. Paired with the S310 and S5732 core switches plus a cloud-based management platform, network performance and O&M efficiency greatly improved.

Solution

Improved Network Stability and Speed: Post-upgrade, the hospital network maintains high availability, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity for VVIP ward operations, medical devices, and patient internet use.

Seamless Coverage: Smart antenna technology delivers 20% more coverage, providing reliable signal even in corridors, stairwells, and other challenging areas.

High Concurrency Support: Wi-Fi 6 enables multiple users and devices to connect simultaneously without interference between medical staff, ward devices, and guest networks.

Reduced O&M Pressure and Costs: Cloud-based centralized management allows IT teams to troubleshoot remotely, cutting labor and travel expenses.
