CloudEngine S5751-L Series Remote Unit Switches

The CloudEngine S5751-L series switches are 10G uplink remote unit switches launched by Huawei based on an innovative streamlined architecture. Matched with Huawei S6700/S5700 series campus switches as central switches, they enable streamlined and efficient campus networking through a remote unit stacking and expansion solution.These switches optionally support the innovative optical & electrical PoE power supply mode. Central switches can provide long-distance PoE power supply up to 1200 meters, which greatly simplifies cabling construction for remote nodes, reduces deployment costs and delivers energy-saving and eco-friendly benefits.Meanwhile, they can function as port expansion units for central switches to realize flexible port expansion, and deliver multi-rate access capabilities of GE/2.5GE. Widely applicable to industries including enterprise office, education, hospitality and healthcare, the switches help enterprises build green and low-carbon buildings.

Based on Huawei's proprietary Asteroid lean architecture, the traditional three-layer network architecture consisting of access, aggregation and core layers is simplified into a two-layer lean architecture with only access and core layers, greatly reducing the complexity of network deployment and O&M management

The downlink ports of remote units support flexible port isolation configuration. User data is uniformly forwarded by central switches in accordance with access policies, ensuring stable and secure terminal access

Energy Saving

All models of the remote unit series adopt energy-efficient chips, and some models feature a fanless design to achieve ultra-low power consumption. The average maximum power consumption per port is less than 1W, delivering a 30% power saving compared with traditional switches
