1. How we use your data

Personal Data collected and processed

The source of personal data Data will be:
1) Collected directly from you. For example, your name, surname, organization, position.
2) Generated by Huawei or suppliers during your visit to Huawei Cyber Security Transparency Center (Brussels). For example photos from activities.
Will we process special categories of data? No
Are you obliged to provide your personal data?
What are the possible consequences if you don’t?
In the collecting and processing of photo during the visiting, the provision of data is voluntary and will be based on your consent.
For the collecting and processing of your business contact information (e.g. name, surname, company, position), our data processed based on the legitimate interest described below.

Below you will find detailed information on what personal data we process, for what purpose and on what legal basis arising from generally applicable data protection regulations.

Preparation, fulfilment and management of customer visiting reception
– Huawei processes your personal data in order to fulfil the approval of internal visiting resources and the preparation of the visiting reception. Huawei will also process the data in a period after the activity in order to manage the performance of Huawei Cyber Security Transparency Center.
Name, surname, organization, position Huawei processes your personal data based on our legitimate interest, such as to allocate reception resources and to provide better customer experience - Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Summarizing and evaluating of the customer visiting reception
– Huawei processes the photos generated during the visiting reception in order to summarize the event and evaluate its performance
Photos (from activities) Huawei processes your personal data based on your consent. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time as described in Section 4 of this statement -Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

2. Where do we store your data and for how long

We retain your personal data for no longer than that is necessary for the purposes defined in this Statement.
In particular:

Preparation, fulfilment and evaluation of customer visiting reception by processing customer personal data Your name, surname, organization, position will be retained for 5 years.
Summarizing and evaluation of the customer visiting reception by processing the photos and videos The photos (from activities) will be retained for 2 years after the visiting reception.
Unless otherwise stated hereunder, your personal data will be stored in Germany and Belgium. After the retention period expires, we will erase or anonymize your personal data, unless otherwise required by laws and regulations.

3. How do we share your data?

(1) Disclosure of your personal data outside of the EU/EEA:

Huawei will not transfer your data outside of the EU/EEA.

(2) Disclosure of your personal data within the EU/EEA:

Huawei will not disclose your data to internal third parties or external suppliers.

(3) Disclosures related to legal requirements and business transactions

Huawei may share your data in response to a legal process or request from a competent authority based on an applicable law or in connection with legal proceeding or process.
Your data may also be disclosed as part of merger, acquisition, sale of assets (such as service agreements) or transition of service to a Huawei group or other relevant company.

4. What are your rights and choices?

You can use Huawei Data Subject Request Portal to exercise your data subject right.
Right of Access You have the right to obtain from Huawei confirmation as to whether or not Personal Data concerning you is being processed and, where that is the case, access to a copy of the Personal Data and specific information about how Huawei processes your Personal Data.
Right of Rectification (Correction) You have the right to obtain from Huawei the correction of inaccurate Personal Data concerning you and also the right to have incomplete Personal Data completed.
Right of Erasure (Deletion) You have the right to obtain from Huawei the erasure (deletion) of your Personal Data in particular circumstances.
Right of Restriction You have the right to obtain from Huawei restriction of processing in particular circumstances.
Right of Objection You have the right to object to the processing of your Personal Data in particular circumstances.
Right of Portability In certain circumstances, you have the right to receive your Personal Data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and have the right to transmit those data to another controller. Please bear in mind that the right of portability does not apply in the case of processing personal data on legal obligation or legitimate interests’ basis.
Right to Withdraw Consent Where the legal basis of processing Personal Data is based on consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by providing a withdrawal notice to Huawei. Please note, however, that the withdrawal of your consent will not affect any use of the Personal Data made before you withdrew your consent.
Right to lodge a Complaint If you consider your Personal Data is not being processed in compliance with the applicable laws, you have the right to lodge a complaint with any relevant supervisory authority, in this case the Autorité de protection des données/Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit: https://www.dataprotectionauthority.be/citizen
