This Privacy Statement ("this Statement") describes how Huawei uses your personal data and protects your privacy when you visit HUAWEI Enterprise Exhibition Area of MWC Barcelona 2026 (“the Exhibition”) or you register to watch the sessions and forums video replay online. Personal data is any information or data that may identify an individual or individuals when being used independently or jointly with other information. This statement informs you on how Huawei process your personal data and provide you services during the MWC.
The personal data we collect and process includes:
• Event Management: To enable you to visit to the exhibition, we will register you in our internal platform, your name, email addresses, country/region, enterprise name, job position, business relationship between your organization with Huawei and login information (account name) will be processed based on our legitimate interest of enabling us to more effectively manage our event and provide our service to you, as per Article 6 (1)(f) GDPR. Besides, we will also processing your personal data (Name, email address) provided by GSMA (Global System for Mobile communications Association, the sponsor of MWC2026) to manage your registration status, if you get the MWC 2026 tickets from Huawei. This processing is also based on legitimate interest of better managing our event, as per Article 6 (1)(f) GDPR.
• Promotion of the event: To promote the event, we may photograph or make audio or video recordings during this event. As such, some of your personal data, such as your full or partially image, may be recorded as an accessory image while you are in this venue. In particular, you may appear incidentally in recordings where you are not the main subject of the image These recordings may be shared on Huawei's external media platforms. In addition, we may store these recordings digitally for later use in Huawei's promotional materials. Such materials may be distributed through digital channels (such as Huawei's official websites and social media accounts) or through offline channels (such as pamphlets and brochures).
Processing Based on Legitimate Interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR)
We may also take general photographs and video recordings of the event for the purpose of documenting the event and promoting our activities, provided that individuals are not the main focus of the image. This processing is based on our legitimate interest on communicating about our events and activities, as per Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. You have the right to object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.
Processing Based on Consent Article 6 (1) (a) GDPPR: Where you are clearly identifiable or are the main subject of the photograph or video, we process your personal data based on your consent as per Article 6 (1) (a) of GDPR. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before its withdrawal
If you wish to withdraw your consent or object to the photographs and recordings showing you, please access our Personal Data Management Request Platform https://www.huawei.com/en/personal-data-request. Please select “others” on the Requestor Type section.
• Photograph and video shooting in general about the event / venue: we may take photos and videos to promote the popularity of the event and present the venue in general. Your image may be fully or partially included unintentionally as an accessory image of the event. We process your personal data based on our legitimate interest of event promotion as per Article 6 (1) (f) of GDPR. If you do not wish to be photographed, please speak to our field personnel, who will provide the special sticker for you to avoid being photographed.
In the occasion your image is captured in photograph or video format and if you do not wish any further use of the photographs and recordings showing you, please access our Personal Data Management Request Platform https://www.huawei.com/en/personal-data-request. • Booking Hotel: To enable you to visit to the exhibition, we may use your name, passport number, hotel name, check-in date, check-out date, payment method, roommate name will be processed, based on our legitimate interest of enabling us to book hotels for you as per Article 6 (1)(f) GDPR. We will share the personal information with the designated hotel in order to arrange your accommodation.
• Access and authentication: Based on our legitimate interest of authentication and enhancing the brand event experience, as per Article 6 (1)(f) GDPR, we may process information to count the number of visitors, anonymous ID will be recorded for areas that need to be authenticated, such as to participate in forums, summits, and other events organized by us, for analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of events. We get the Access and authentication information with the total number of attendees from GSMA.
• Download conference materials: Based on on your consent to receive conference marketing materials, as per Article 6 (1)(f) GDPR, Huawei will process your last name, first name, email address, phone number (optional), country, region, company, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before its withdrawal.
• Marketing Communications: Based on your consent to subscribe and receive marketing materials as per Article 6 (1)(a) GDPR, Huawei will process your last name, first name, email address, phone number (optional), country, region, company, industry and subscription to Huawei marketing information will be processed when you scan the QR code and consent to it by clicking the tickbox to obtain marketing materials at the e-mail sent to you. If you choose to receive via email the marketing materials, you will have to input your email address to receive the files after the first time you submit your personal information to download or receive via email the marketing materials.
• Viewing of video replay: In order to enable your access to our sessions and forums video replay, you need to register online. Your first name, last name, email, company name, industry and country/region will be processed during the registration. This is based on our legitimate interest of marketing and provide our service to you, as per Article 6 (1)(f) GDPR.
The data retain period may vary with scenario and service. Your personal data will be stored in the EU and third countries. After the retention period expires, we will erase or anonymize your personal data.
