[Johannesburg, South Africa, July 6, 2023] During Huawei Eco-Connect Sub-Saharan Africa 2023, more than 2000 customers and partners from South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria gathered together. At the event, Huawei Data Communication launched 20+ innovative products and solutions for Sub-Saharan Africa region,and held the IP Network Sub-Forum with the theme of " Innovations Never Stop ". Dr. Osama, Chair of IEEE 802.11ax Task Group, Donald Eastlake, Chair of the IETF BABEL and MANET Working Groups, and other top experts, shared the latest industry development trends and technological achievements at the forum.

The digital development wave has swept the world, South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya and other countries in Sub-Saharan Africa have put forward clear plans and goals for digital economy development. The IP networks are the most critical new digital infrastructure and build the foundation of digital economy.

• Government and vertical industries

In the office campuses, High-Quality 10Gbps CloudCampus provide 30 Gbps Wi-Fi 7 access, improving the user concurrency capability by 30%. Dr. Osama Aboul-Magd, Chair of IEEE 802.11ax Task Group, pointed out that Huawei is a pioneer in Wi-Fi technology innovation and ranks No1 in the world of Wi-Fi 7 standards contribution. In the WAN, Huawei continuously innovates based on "IPv6 Enhanced" technologies. Donald Eastlake, Chair of the IETF BABEL and MANET Working Groups, pointed out that SRv6 standards and technologies are mature, with more than 160 networks deployed worldwide. In the data center, Huawei upgraded CloudFabric to work with Digital Map to implement multi-cloud and multi-vendor service deployment. In terms of network security, Huawei unveiled the industry's first multilayer ransomware protection solution that leverages endpoint-network-storage collaboration. This solution uses an exclusive AI clustering algorithm to accurately identify ransomware.

Huawei launched 8 new portfolios that are "easy to install, easy to use, and easy to manage". These portfolios help customers quickly build high-quality networks.

Huawei launched the Huawei eKit brand and the "6 x Easy" distribution products, including the multi-service gateway, switch, and WLAN series. Partners are “Easy to buy, Easy to sell”, engineering contractors are “Easy to install, Easy to maintain”, and end users are “Easy to learn, Easy to use”.
