Damien Dujacquier, global partner of Roland Berger, noted that "Enterprises should shift their perspective from 'data storage power' to 'future-proof data storage power', to address key global trends such as surging data volumes, the booming data factor market, emerging native AI applications, increasingly complex cybersecurity environment, and roaring demand for low-carbon, eco-friendly development in the digital industry."
In the white paper, Roland Berger and Huawei offer a deep dive into the concept of future-proof data storage power:
• New positioning:Future-proof data storage power is not only the digital cornerstone of high-quality society development, it's the high-performance engine that drives the emergence of an intelligent economy. An important element of the intelligent era, future-proof data storage power will effectively fuel the data factor market for intelligent socio-economic transformation.
• New features: In addition to previous existing features like storage capacity, performance, reliability, and sustainability, future-proof data storage power is characterized by universal ubiquity, native AI, compact architecture, and an open ecosystem, and will better promote adoption of AI solutions by industries and in the economy at large.
• New indicators: The white paper presents a future-proof data storage indicator system based on six dimensions: capacity planning, resource utilization, performance requirements, security and ransomware protection, solution-level total cost of ownership (TCO), and native AI empowerment.
