[Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, August 27, 2024] The Latin America leg of Huawei Network Summit 2024 was successfully held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The event brought together more than 1100 industry pioneers, technical leaders, and partners from 7 countries in Latin America to explore network technology developments in the AI era. At the summit, Huawei unveiled its latest Xinghe Intelligent Network products and solutions, helping all industries stride towards the Net5.5G era and accelerate their intelligent journeys.

In the opening speech, Daniel Zhou, President of Huawei's Latin America Region, said, "The wave of intelligence is taking the digital economy into the fast lane, where network infrastructures with high bandwidth and low latency become integral. As such, Huawei will continue to develop more innovative products and solutions with cutting-edge technologies, embrace ICT transformation opportunities in five aspects (connection, computing power, data, application, and talent), and contribute to a sustainable ecosystem as we stride towards an intelligent world."
Leon Wang, President of Huawei's Data Communication Product Line, delivering a keynote speechIn his keynote speech entitled "Xinghe Intelligent Network, Accelerating Industrial Intelligence", Leon Wang, President of Huawei's Data Communication Product Line, said, "Intelligent technologies are fast approaching, driving us to constantly innovate networking technologies so as to better embrace business changes. Huawei offers the Xinghe Intelligent Network Solution based on the Net5.5G target architecture, to accelerate industrial intelligence and build a solid bridge to the intelligent world."
Key announcements at the summit include all-scenario Wi-Fi 7 APs, the industry's highest-density 400GE modular data center switch (a total of 640 400GE ports), the industry's unique switch with flexible cards from GE to 400GE, the industry's first 220 mm deep 400GE router, an all-in-one intelligent converged gateway, and Net Master (a network large model application).
Besides this, Huawei also launched nine industry-specific solutions and flagship commercial and distribution products for customers in public services, finance, and ISP sectors. This reaffirmed Huawei's efforts to dive deep into diverse industry markets and small- and medium-sized enterprise (SME) markets.
Also at the summit, Gustavo de Avelar Costa, Executive Manager from the Bank of Brazil Branch, shared their best practices in campus network deployments. He said, "We provide high-quality network assurance for more than 5000 branches to improve digital efficiency. Looking ahead, we will continue to cooperate with Huawei to build a best-in-class high-quality financial campus network for better user satisfaction."
Renata Wowk, Infrastructure Manager at Bradesco, a local bank in Brazil, also gave their unique perspectives on data center network. He said, "Huawei Ultra-Resilient Multi-DC Network Solution helps Bradesco build a future-oriented network with 3x higher reliability, RPO of less than 30 minutes and RTO of less than 24 hours. The highly reliable infrastructure continues to help Bradesco to be the top bank in the region."
A notable highlight was the launch of the IP Club Explorer Program, which offers upgraded rights and interests to members. This program is designed to enhance communication and connections among IP industry peers through more diversified activities, and build IP Club into an important platform for peer communication and interaction in the region. The event also recognized and presented awards to IP Club diamond and gold members in Latin America.
The world stands at a critical juncture in advancing from digital transformation to intelligent transformation. As such, Huawei's Xinghe Intelligent Network will constantly evolve and upgrade to help all industries accelerate their pace into the intelligent era and boost the digital-intelligent development in Latin America.
