[Johannesburg, South Africa, July 2, 2024] At HUAWEI AFRICA CONNECT 2024, Huawei cooperated with ecosystem partners to release the National Government Cloud Solution for Southern Africa. Global industry experts gathered at the event to discuss the trend and implementation path of national digital transformation, and how to enable "excellent governance, progressive society, and heightened economy".

Wang Libiao, Vice President of Huawei Enterprise Sales Dept and Director of Industry ICT Solution Development Mgmt Dept, said in his opening speech, "In the past few years, many African countries have made new achievements in digitization, and Huawei is honored to have played our part. Digital transformation of governments is a long-term systematic project." He mentioned that Huawei will continue to increase investment in Africa, build a future-proof 'one cloud, one network' platform, consolidate national digital infrastructure, and team up with customers and partners to bring digital transformation to the next level in the region.

Intelligence is reshaping the world around us. An intelligent world is fast approaching. Koh Hong-Eng, Chief Scientist of Huawei Global Public Sector, delivered a keynote speech entitled AI Accelerates Intelligence of Public Services. He stated that "Huawei is committed to enabling secure, autonomous, and efficient data transmission, and interaction between government departments, as well as storage and intelligent processing of data. Our goal is to promote in-depth integration of AI and industry scenarios."
To meet national digital government requirements, Huawei partners with vendors like Skyco Technologies and Guotai Epoint Software Co., Ltd to combine intelligent applications with the one cloud, one network architecture and continuously develop scenario-based solutions and capabilities. Augustine Chiew, an industry expert in Huawei's Global Public Sector, said, "The National Government Cloud Solution integrates government scenarios with innovative Huawei Cloud Stack technologies. Based on industry experience and the global ecosystem, Huawei helps customers build an innovative organization with more convenient services, closer collaboration, and faster response."
