Smart Tracking System

The integrated design of Huawei’s M85 Series Smart Tracking System combines a fixed camera and a Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ) dome camera, each with a 1/1.8 inch progressive scan Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) sensor.

While the 2.8-12 mm fixed camera, physically located at the top of the system, supports various intrusion detections — such as tripwire crossing and area entry/exit detection — it links to the PTZ dome camera to capture and snapshot object details. With a focal length of 6–186 mm, the PTZ camera offers full 360° panning, an unobstructed tilt of –20°to +90°, and a 31x optical zoom allied to a 16x digital zoom.

With the combination of the two cameras allied to deep learning algorithms, the system provides highly accurate detection capabilities, meeting the requirements for a wide variety of perimeter surveillance scenarios, with intelligent encoding technology helping to save on storage space. Stream smoothing helps to boost video quality and fluency, while TCP acceleration enables the network to transport streams of a higher quality.

In addition, excellent performance in low-light conditions — with minimum illumination requirements as low as 0.0001 lux (black and white) — a Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), Highlight Compensation (HLC) technology, image defogging, and ultra-wide operating temperature ranges — from –30ºC to +60ºC — contribute to high-quality imaging in any weather conditions, from bright sun, through rain, to overcast days, for uninterrupted surveillance imagery.
