Enterprise products, solutions & services
[Cairo, Egypt, April 28, 2026] At the Huawei Network Summit 2026 (HNS 2026) held recently in Cairo, Huawei unveiled its upgraded Xinghe Intelligent WAN Solution. This solution leverages intrinsic security and quantum protection for building a secure, resilient, and quantum-resistant WAN, laying a secure network foundation for enterprises' digital and intelligent transformation.

Cyber attacks and quantum threats are becoming increasingly severe. Recent data shows a staggering 40%+ annual surge in global Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs) over the past three years, with over 6,000 incidents documented. These attacks are growing more industrialized and covert, posing severe security risks to the critical information infrastructure. In addition, quantum Harvest Now, Decrypt Later (HNDL) attacks are increasing, while traditional encryption algorithms being breached in mere minutes by quantum computers, leading to catastrophic data leakages. As such, next-generation secure WANs are in urgent need.
Intrinsic Security for a Robust Defense, Achieving Zero Device Intrusions
Huawei's Xinghe Intelligent WAN Solution leverages industry-unique intrinsic security boards to combat device attacks. Trained on over a billion attack samples, these boards are capable of detecting file, memory, system, and traffic anomalies in real time, as well as blocking APTs with 100% precision and halting threats at their sources. This ensures 24/7 service continuity and strengthens device security.
Two-Phase Quantum Security Implementation, Achieving Zero Data Leaks
To counteract quantum cracking threats, Huawei has developed the Xinghe Intelligent Traffic-Encryption Integration Solution. This solution leverages a quantum-against-quantum approach and supports two phases of deployment, enabling both cost-effective and high-efficient deployments of quantum security.
In phase one, Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) can be implemented through software upgrades, with no hardware changes required. Coupled with Huawei's Xsec technology for multi-point dynamic deployment, this software-driven PQC solution boosts deployment efficiency by 60%. Enterprises are able to build quantum security defense in days instead of weeks.
In phase two, intrinsic Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) can be implemented by installing a QKD board on a router, eliminating external QKD devices and implementing integration of the QKD network and communication network. In addition, by leveraging the unique noise suppression algorithm, the quantum, negotiation, and communication channels are integrated into one. This integration eliminates the need for additional devices and fibers, reducing the overall investment by over 60% to enable large-scale use of QKD while guaranteeing physical-level security.
The Xinghe Intelligent WAN Solution can be widely applied in industries such as finance, electric power, and governments to meet the requirements for core data transmission and critical infrastructure protection. A major bank in China has successfully deployed this solution, securing over CNY1 billion in daily cross-border settlements and eliminating quantum HNDL risks completely.
Huawei will continuously assist Northern African governments, electric power companies, and many other key industries in tackling security challenges in the quantum era through the Xinghe Intelligent WAN Solution, and will remain dedicated to building secure and resilient WANs to underpin regional digital transformation and critical information infrastructure construction.
