  • A Better Connected Future for Brilliant Youth: Huawei ICT Competition 2018 Global Final Draws to a Successful Close


    The Huawei ICT Competition 2018 Global Final ended successfully in Huawei's headquarters in Shenzhen. In addition to networking, this year's competition added another technical domain of cloud. The competition attracted a total of over 40,000 students from more than 800 universities and colleges in 32 countries across 5 continents.

  • The ONVIF Best Practices of Security for Video Surveillance Systems proposed by Huawei officially released


    In the Steering Committee (SC) meeting of Open Network Video Interface Forum (ONVIF) on April 2018, the Huawei-led ONVIF Best Practices of Security for Video Surveillance Systems is officially approved. This is the first “Best Practices” for video surveillance system security released by the official video surveillance standards organizations in the industry, which marks the significant influence of ONVIF and Huawei in the cyber security area.

  • Huawei to Orchestrate the Symphony of Digital Transformation at CEBIT 2018


    Huawei today attended the CEBIT Preview 2018 in Hannover, Germany. With a new format, CEBIT 2018 will deliver an international business festival for innovation and digitization featuring new themes, new activities, and a new look and feel.   • Shenzhen and Huawei Show the World How Safe City Improves City Life


    Over 400 public officials from 40 cities around the world this week learned more about how Shenzhen, a rapidly-growing city in the southern Chinese province of Guangdong, is improving public safety and everyday life thanks to a smart, safe city strategy. The visit, hosted by the Smart Security Industry Association of Shenzhen and Huawei, brought together government officials, public safety experts and solution providers from Europe, South America, Middle East, Asia Pacific, and Africa.

  • Huawei Hosts the IEEE-SA CAG Meeting in Shenzhen


    Huawei successfully hosted the IEEE-SA CAG meeting in Shenzhen April 16 – April 20, 2018. The meeting delegates are from GE, Huawei, Siemens, NEC, Microsoft, ARM, Qualcomm, L&T Infotech, CESI(China Electrical Standard Institute), SGCC( State Grids of China), IEEE P2413 Chairman and some IEEE-SA staffs.

    At the Huawei Global Analyst Summit 2018 (HAS 2018), the Japanese Internet company CyberAgent, Inc. made the following announcement with Huawei: With the help of Huawei's CloudFabric solution, CyberAgent, Inc. successfully built a cloud data center network with Intent-Driven Network (IDN) capabilities and comprised fully of fixed switches.     At the Huawei China Eco-Partner Conference 2018, Huawei launched the S5720I-SI series switches that boast an extended operating temperature range and support all-gigabit access and multiple 10GE uplinks. The S5720I-SI series switches can work in harsh outdoor operating environments in which most commercial switches fail. They are ideal for various outdoor access scenarios such as wireless city, Safe City, Internet Service Provider (ISP), and Ethernet to the x (ETTx).
