The rapid development of wireless enterprise networks, diverse technologies, and complex applications require network professionals to continuously improve their skills and mindset to accommodate more innovative and integrated network technologies. Huawei cultivates network talent through its leading certifications and talent development system, and promotes learning through the Huawei ICT Competition.
Liu Shucheng
Director from the Data Communication Strategy & Business Development Dept of Huawei ICT Products & Solutions
On Huawei Cloud, we offer six ecosystems — Kunpeng, Ascend, Harmony, HMS, Euler, and Gauss — to help developers develop applications for various industries. Through the Huawei ICT Competition, Huawei aims to assist students in accumulating knowledge, developing practical skills, realizing personal value, and contributing to the digital transformation and economic development of their countries in the future.
Wang Xihai
Director of the Huawei Cloud Marketplace & Developer Alliance Product Dept
The rapid development of the digital economy requires the support of basic software. Huawei has been actively engaged in the field of basic software root technologies and collaborates with partners to build a world-class basic software open source community to accelerate the digitalization of industry. For the first time, the computing track has been added to the Huawei ICT Competition, with the aim of training more basic software professionals to build a robust basic software ecosystem.
Wang Jingquan
Director of Huawei Basic Software Talent Development
The organizing committee of the Huawei ICT Competition receives a lot of entries each year from college and university students in different countries and regions. While many of the entries integrate underlying ICT, we've also observed numerous entries incorporating the latest R&D technologies. What is even more commendable is that they are converting these innovative concepts into reality through technologies and engineering practices. We hope that their practices in using ICT to resolve real-life issues will bring more positive changes to the digital world and life, benefit more people worldwide, and build a more equitable and sustainable future.
Catherine Du
Director of TECH4ALL Digital Inclusion Program Office, Huawei
As digital technologies become more intertwined with the electric power industry, there is increasing and urgent demand for ICT talent. As a result, we need to improve the digital literacy and talent and build talent pipelines to ensure the healthy development of the industry. To this end, Huawei has set up a new track – the Electric Power Digitalization track – for this year's ICT Competition, to help students exchange and showcase their talent on electric power scenarios. This will inject a digital impetus into the electric power industry.
Chu Tao
R&D President of the Electric Power Digitalization BU, Huawei Enterprise BG
In the coming decade, the global power industry is poised to experience a fresh wave of rapid growth and transformation, powered by the combination of emerging energy and digital technologies. The Huawei ICT Competition focuses on cultivating scientific and technological talent, strengthens exchanges in both education and science, and highlights practices and real-life issues of multiple industries. This helps guide students to cultivate themselves through technological innovation. I sincerely hope that the students can continue enhancing their competencies towards building an intelligent world, change our lives using technologies, and build a better future through innovation.
Liu Jianming
Executive Deputy Director of CEIA-EDPC
Huawei never stopped improving the ICT talent ecosystem even during the pandemic. In the future, Huawei will bring ICT education resources to more schools around the world to train ICT talent and drive digital transformation.
