    Ernest Zhang

    President, Western Europe Enterprise Business, Huawei

    Mr. Zhang joined the Huawei Security and Storage Product Line in September 2007 and established the business management team of the Domestic Sales and Service Department. Since the joint venture Huawei Symantec was founded, he also held the post of vice president for Domestic Sales and Service. He has also worked for the Enterprise Business Group as Vice-President of Global Sales Department. Mr. Zhang recently extended his expertise reach into Western Europe. As President of the Enterprise Business in Western Europe, he oversees Germany, UK, Italy, Spain, France, Netherlands, Switzerland, Portugal and Belgium.

    Artürs Alksnis

    Public Affairs Director, FTTH Council

    Arturs joined the FTTH Council Europe team in April 2022 and is responsible for defining and implementing the FTTH Council's Public Affairs strategy.

    Before joining the FTTH Council Europe, he was Public Affairs Director at FEPA, the Federation of European Producers of Abrasives. Prior to this, he worked as Public Affairs Manager in the European Rail Supply Industry Association (UNIFE) where he was responsible for the investment policy portfolio. His previous EU-related experience includes working as a Political Advisor to a Member of the European Parliament, as a Programme Manager in the European Commission (DG Regional Policy), and as a Research Associate in the EU Centre in Singapore. He holds Master’s degrees in International Relations and Political Science from Sciences Po (Paris, France) and University of Latvia.

    CEO, Bundesverband Glasfaseranschluss e. V. (BUGLAS)

    BUGLAS (Bundesverband Glasfaseranschluss, German Assocation of Enterprises and Institutions which deploy and run Fiber Access Networks in terms of FttB/H) has more than 160 members such like NetCologne, M-net, wilhelm.tel, TeleColumbus as well as Stadtwerke and communal enterprises, Zweckverbände and investor driven enterprises like UGG, Deutsche GigaNetz and many others.     Dr. Hermann Rodler

    CTIOO, M-net Telekommunikations GmbH

    Dr Hermann Rodler has more than 30 years of management experience in the information and communication technology industry and has been managing director technology and operations at the leading Bavarian fiber optic provider M-net since November 1, 2017. In this function, he is responsible for all technical areas from network planning and network construction to technical service and network operation to corporate IT.

    Previously, he was Executive Vice President and Head of the Antenna Products division at the technology supplier Kathrein and held various management positions at Nokia Networks for over nine years - including more than five years as managing director of Nokia Siemens Networks and Nokia Networks Germany. In addition he can look back on almost 20 years of management at Siemens AG, communication division.

    Dr Hermann Rodler holds several patents in the fields of coherent optical communication, mobile data transmission and Internet protocols. He holds a degree in communications engineering from the Technical University of Munich and a doctorate in engineering in the field of optical communications engineering from the Ruhr University in Bochum.

    Dr. Maxim Kuschnerov

    Director, Optical and Quantum Communications Laboratory, Huawei

    Maxim Kuschnerov joined Huawei in 2016 and is now leading the optical research laboratory in Munich, Germany focusing on the topics of optical access, data center networks, coherent optical transceivers, optical switching and quantum security. He has more than 15 years of experience in optical research, development and product management, having started his career at Siemens and then working for Nokia Siemens Networks and Coriant (now Infinera) before joining Huawei.

    Walter Haas

    CTO, Huawei Technologies Deutschland GmbH

    Mr. Haas is Chief Technology Officer and member of the management board of Huawei Germany. In his role as CTO he is in charge of new business development for Huawei products & solutions in German carrier and enterprise market.

    Mr. Haas holds a Dipl. Ing. degree in Telecommunications and Mechatronics. He has over 30 years experience in telecommunication industry and held several management positions in R&D, Business Development and Product Management. In 1999 he established a cooperation with Huawei Technologies and realized first projects in German/European markets.

    In 2004 he joint Huawei Germany and since that time he is involved in major projects at various customers.

    One of his current business focus areas is on developing ecosystems for 5G, AI & Internet-of-Things era within the context of digitization of industries and society.

    In addition he is corporate speaker, active member in various telecommunication and industry associations and is Huawei representative in Bitkom Main Board.

    Kevin Liu

    Kevin Liu has more than 20 years’ experience in ICT industry. He is currently serving as the Senior VP of Sales and Channel in Huawei WEU Enterprise Business and prior to this role, he held various leader roles in Huawei WEU region including GM of Huawei Enterprise business in Switzerland.

    With more than 26 years of experience in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) field, Huang Dachuan is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Huawei's Enterprise Business Group, leading a team of senior experts to provide technical support services for major projects and key customers. Mr. Huang is also responsible for improving the mid- and long-term competitiveness of Huawei products and solutions. His customers span a wide range of industries, from the finance, Internet, and government sectors, to large enterprises and more.
