    Born in 1968, Mr. Hu holds a bachelor's degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Mr. Hu joined Huawei in 1990 and has served as President of the Marketing & Sales Dept in China, President of the Latin America Region, President of the Global Sales Dept, Chief Sales & Service Officer, Chief Strategy & Marketing Officer, Chairman of the Global Cyber Security and User Privacy Protection Committee (GSPC), Chairman of the BOD of Huawei USA, Deputy Chairman of the Board, Rotating CEO, and Chairman of the HRC. Currently, Mr. Hu serves as Deputy Chairman of the Board and Rotating Chairman of Huawei.

    Luis Jorge Romero, Director General of ETSI, has 30 years’ experience in the telecommunications sector.

    At ETSI he has initiated a global standardization partnership for Machine to Machine communications, oneM2M. He has overseen the rapid development of ETSI’s Industry Specification Groups accelerating market penetration of new technologies and has enabled the first Open Source group in ETSI.

    Born in 1968, Mr. Peng holds a bachelor's degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Mr. Peng joined Huawei in 1997 and has served as Technical Service Engineer of the South China Area, Transmission Project Manager and Development Engineer of the Russia Representative Office, General Manager of the Yemen Representative Office, Assistant to President of the Middle East and Northern Africa Region, President of the Northern Africa Region, President of the China Region, and President of the Corporate Leadership Mgmt Dept. Currently, Mr. Peng serves as President of the Enterprise BG.

    Stefania Giannini

    Assistant Director-General for Education

    Ms Stefania Giannini was appointed Assistant Director-General for Education in May 2018, becoming the top United Nations official in the field of education. In this position, she provides strategic vision and leadership for UNESCO’s Education Sector in coordinating and monitoring the implementation of the Education 2030 Agenda, encapsulated in Sustainable Development Goal 4.

    She has devoted her career to promoting education as a fundamental human right, through the importance of language, lifelong learning, culture, freedom of expression and identity, in an effort to ensure more inclusive and equal societies.

    With an academic background in the Humanities (PhD in Linguistics), Ms Giannini became Professor of Linguistics in 1992 and served as Rector of the University for Foreigners of Perugia (2004 – 2012), being one of the first female Rectors and the youngest at that time in Italy.

    Sylvain Laurent

    Executive Vice President, Chairman 3DS Infrastructure & Cities Board

    Sylvain Laurent has been appointed Chairman of the 3DS Infrastructure and City Board of Directors since 2020.

    He has held the positions of Executive Vice President and President of Asia Pacific for Dassault Systemes 3DS Business Transformation (BT) from April 2011 to 2019. In this role, he is responsible for sales to key customers and global 3DS solutions and services. He is also a member of the Executive Committee.

    Mr. Laurent joined Dassault Systèmes in 2008 as the head of BT sales in Europe and has extensive experience in large account management. He has been helping Dassault Systèmes to continue its transformation of its ""go-to-market"" strategy.

    Mr. Laurent has more than 25 years of experience in the PLM field, having previously worked at Siemens PLM Software and IBM PLM, and has also founded a PLM consulting and system integration company.

    Gijs finished his masters thesis in Industrial Design Engineering in Delft (the Netherlands). The thesis ho wrote, which was on a robotic glove for use in rehabilitation of stroke patients, served as the foundation upon which he co-founded SenseGlove with his former supervisor Johannes Luijten. Most of Gijs’ professional career before SenseGlove has been within the start-up environment; He has been a managing director of a start-up consultancy firm and a UX-designer for another start-up building smart thermostat. Gijs recognized early on the missing potential in the current state-of-the-art VR/AR controllers and today he provides thought leadership to both his company and the industry.

    Richard Griffiths has worked more than 20 years in internet and telco leadership roles. Since 2017, he has been Vice President in the Consultant Office at Huawei focusing on 5G and Digital Transformation projects.

    Between 2012-2015, he was Vice President of Broadband and IPTV at Malaysia‘s leading pay TV operator Astro managing the launch of a new business unit.

    He spent three years from 2008 as Director of TV and Entertainment at national telco eir and four years from 2004 Director Technology Strategy and Development at BT TV after launching two internet startups.
