This Privacy Statement gives you information about the personal data we collect about you in relation to Huawei Network Summit 2023 and how and for what purposes we process your personal data. Are you obliged to provide the personal data? And what the possible consequences of failure to provide such data. 1. If the processing is based on your consent, providing the data and giving your consent is voluntary.
2. If the processing is necessary to enter into contract or to fulfil contractual obligations, without your personal data, the corresponding contract cannot be concluded, or a performance of concluded contract can be limited.
3. If the processing is necessary to fulfil legal obligation, it is mandatory to provide the data based on applicable legislation.

Event registration and notification - If you want to join the HNS 2023 onsite, an online registration will be needed. In order to generate a personal account and approve the registration through email for the participants who will join the HNS 2023 onsite in Munich, we need to process the indicated personal data, without which we can’t properly process your registration for participation: Register as an onsite participant for the HNS 2023: your e-mail, first name, last name, country/region, company, job title, and industry will be processed. Processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are party or in order to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract.-Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR.
Verification and identification of onsite attendance - In order to verify the identification of onsite attendance we need to process your personal data, without which we can’t verify the identification and it won´t be possible to participate in our onsite session your full name and email address Processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are party or in order to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract.-Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR.
Survey – To collect customer experience and suggestions. your first name, last name, company, email, Country/Region, job title, industry, network scenarios involved, interested businesses, satisfaction, comments, and suggestions (optional) Huawei processes your personal data based on our legitimate interest to find out your opinions as a customer, to assess your level of satisfaction with our services and ultimately provide you with a better and improved service-Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Marketing leads - for further contacting you for workshops, POC or ordering requests first name, last name, country/region, company, job title, industry, and products or solution of interest Huawei processes your personal data based on your consent through e-mail. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time as described in Section 4 of this statement -Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR.
Electronic Direct Marketing/EDM - In order to send the latest information of products, solutions and services available in the based region of the participant according to your indicated preferences. For the onsite participants, we will process the e-mail, first name, last name, country/region, company, job title, and industry will be processed Huawei processes your personal data based on your consent. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time as described in Section 4 of this statement -Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

2. How long and where do we store your data

We retain your personal data for no longer than that is necessary for the purposes defined in this Statement. In particular:

Unless otherwise stated hereunder, your personal data will be processed in France. After the retention period expires, we will erase or anonymize your personal data, unless otherwise required by laws and regulations.

Marketing Lead based on consent in Survey The personal data agreed to be processed will be uploaded to our marketing to lead platform and the application layer deployed in China by Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd in China. Mechanism 1: When the data are transferred to a third country that does not ensure adequate level of protection of personal data, Huawei complies with applicable legal requirements for providing adequate safeguards by incorporating the Standard Contractual Clauses with relevant supplementary measures in such transfer. (2) Disclosure of your personal data within the EU/EEA:

Event Registration and notification We procured registration supplier who deployed the server in France.
Event Registration Data related to Event Registration will be shared with our Huawei local affiliates in EU/EEA to coordinate onsite participants on our behalf, we will disclose your data provided for registration. Such company may only use your personal data to provide services on behalf of us.
Event management We will use a supplier to assist the event management and the supplier server is in Germany.
Verification and identification of onsite attendance To verify if the participant is registered, our event supplier will verify your name and email address whose server is in France.
Marketing Lead based on consent in survey To respond your request of workshop, POC or ordering and share with you more about our products, solutions and services, the relevant data will be shared to our customer development suppliers, and then to Huawei local Marketing team or Huawei channel partners in Germany.
EDM Provide follow-up Huawei related news and information to customers in domains and industries of interest.
We will enter into a strict entrusting agreement or personal data processing terms with the entrusted party. The entrusted party is obligated to process related personal data in accordance with this Statement and our instructions, and take relevant confidentiality and security measures to ensure personal data security.
(3) Disclosures related to legal requirements and business transactions
Huawei may share your data in response to a legal process or request from a competent authority based on an applicable law or in connection with legal proceeding or process. Your data may also be disclosed as part of merger, acquisition, sale of assets (such as service agreements) or transition of service to a Huawei group or other relevant company.

You have the right to obtain from Huawei the correction of inaccurate Personal Data concerning you and also the right to have incomplete Personal Data completed.
