Introduction
Huawei is proud to commission the 2nd UK Smart Cities Index from Navigant Consulting. In just 18 months since the last report, we have seen significant technology advancements in the way we get around, care for our citizens, communicate and fuel our towns and cities. These advancements have reinforced the role that Smart City technology must play in tackling the biggest challenges facing the UK. This report builds on and expands last year’s Index, looking at 20 cities each deploying Smart City technology to tackle urban challenges.
