Huawei Named a Leader in 2026 evaluation for Data Center Network Solutions

Shenzhen, China

[Shenzhen, China, August 19, 2026] Huawei announced today that it has been named a leader in The Forrester Wave™: Data Center Network Solutions, Q3 2026. Huawei’s Xinghe AI Fabric 2.0 Solution and CloudEngine series data center switches were evaluated. This acknowledgement follows Huawei's recent placement as a Leader in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Data Center Switching, adding another global industry recognition to its portfolio.

Huawei Named a Leader in the Forrester WaveTM for Data Center Network Solutions

The Forrester Wave™ serves as a flagship evaluation report from the global research firm. The methodology relies on a rigorous, transparent framework that enterprises use to guide technology selection. This evaluation assessed top providers against strict criteria, and only three vendors were named Leaders.

Rapid advancements in artificial intelligence and cloud architectures continue to transform data center networks. In 2026, Huawei upgraded its Xinghe AI Fabric 2.0 solution, empowering enterprises with next-generation computing foundations that deliver high compute efficiency and structural resilience.

AI Computing: Coordinating Compute, Network, and Storage for Zero Interruption

Huawei upgraded the Xinghe AI Ultra-Efficient Fabric to support AI computing workloads. The solution optimizes performance and reliability, providing a robust network backbone for training and inferencing large AI models.

• Performance optimization: The new Hyper-Converged Fabric (HCF) architecture coordinates compute, network, and storage scheduling. This integration achieves over 98% network throughput, increases algorithm bandwidth by more than 30%, and improves inference tokens per second (TPS) by 15% to 20%. These metrics maximize raw computing utilization.

• Hardware reliability: Huawei AI switches incorporate iFlashboot 2.0 technology to execute five-second reboots. This rapid recovery prevents interruptions to training and inference workloads. Additionally, Huawei StarryLink optical modules feature multi-in-one component integration and proprietary contamination detection. These hardware improvements reduce network-induced AI service outages by over 90%, ensuring high availability for large model operations.

General-Purpose Computing: AI-Powered Resilience and Multi-Vendor Management

For general-purpose workloads, the upgraded Xinghe AI Ultra-Resilient Fabric strengthens structural reliability and management. The solution targets three primary areas: network resilience, intelligent O&M, and agile provisioning.

• Network resilience: The architecture includes self-healing for silent network faults, hitless device upgrades, and millisecond-level link failover. Huawei also introduced the AI Eagle-Eye Engine. This technology monitors the quality of 200,000 concurrent traffic flows in real time and completes root-cause analysis within minutes.

• Intelligent O&M: NetMaster (network AI agent) automates the diagnosis of 36 distinct network fault categories in minutes. This automation increases O&M efficiency by dozens of times and significantly drives down operational costs. To address multi-vendor environments, Huawei deployed xFlow full-flow analysis technology. xFlow demarcates faults across heterogeneous equipment within one minute and enables packet-level traceback, resolving complex integration challenges.

• Agile provisioning: AI assists throughout the configuration lifecycle. The system automatically generates configuration workflows based on service requirements and publishes the necessary APIs. This capability enables zero-code integration with mainstream ITSM platforms like ServiceNow, accelerating network provisioning.

For Huawei, this recognition in the Forrester Wave™ report validates Huawei's technical execution in data center networking for the AI era. Looking ahead, Huawei will continue to collaborate with industry partners to advance network intelligence and accelerate the evolution of next-generation infrastructure.
