[Tokyo, Japan, April 14, 2021] At Interop Tokyo, Japan's largest ICT exhibition, Huawei OptiXtrans DC908，as a part of Next-Generation High-Performance Inter-DC Storage Network Solution, won the Best of Show Award in the cloud computing infrastructure field, as recognition for its ultra-broadband, intelligent, and comprehensive transmission capabilities. This award builds on the success of 2020, when Huawei OptiXtrans DC908 grabbed the special prize in network infrastructure at Interop. These awards recognize how well Huawei's enterprise optical transmission products have been received in the Japanese market, which is noted for engaging with state-of-the-art technologies and placing stringent requirements on product quality.

The rapid development of big data, cloud computing, and intelligent technologies has seen sharp increase in traffic between data centers, which in turn poses new challenges to data center interconnect (DCI) networks. How to ensure efficient, secure, and stable service transmission between data centers has become a top concern for enterprises. By leveraging its 30 years of experience in optical networks, Huawei helps customers tackle the challenges brought by massive data transmission in the intelligence era thanks to its Huawei OptiXtrans DC908. This device supports a maximum of 800 Gbit/s per wavelength and up to 88 Tbit/s per fiber, slashing the fiber costs of enterprises by more than 60%. The protection mechanism covering both optical transmission and storage maximizes the collaboration between the two domains, while the dual-ended protection switching mechanism eliminates latency difference caused by service switching to different paths, ensuring high service security and continuity. Furthermore, Huawei OptiXtrans DC908 provides multiple interface types, including Ethernet and fiber channel (FC). Its low and stable latency coupled with ultra-high stability (twice the industry average) ensures that active-active and multi-active applications run stably within a 100 km distance, building a stable and reliable "data highway" for DCs.
