They also heavily relied on manual meter reading, resulting in high maintenance costs. Huawei’s solution uses innovative broadband PLC-IoT technology to achieve 100% meter reading success. As part of the solution, multi-method prepayment accelerates electricity fee collection, and multi-dimensional monitoring and analysis reduce line loss. The solution also integrates management of power distribution and consumption. All these features combine to increase the operating efficiency of power companies.
Huawei’s innovative PLC-IoT uses broadband carrier technology to provide bandwidth up to 2 Mbit/s and deliver strong anti-interference performance. PLC-IoT enables 100% meter reading success and supports data collection of thousands of electric meters in a transformer district, greatly improving meter reading efficiency and accuracy.
Multiple prepayment methods are available, including using an App, a prepaid card, a machine at the counter, and online. This flexibility gives users more convenient access to electricity and helps electricity companies accelerate their electricity fee collection.
