[Shanghai, China, September 17, 2026] During HUAWEI CONNECT 2026, Huawei, in collaboration with partners including Beijing Bohua Xinzhi Technology, Beijing Yueneng Technology, and Jiutian Weather, launched three intelligent power generation solutions. These solutions focus on three core scenarios: operation and maintenance (O&M) of critical power equipment, intelligent operations of new energy stations, and weather-based power forecasting. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies and applications such as AI-mechanism integration, energy-focused digital services, and large weather models, the solutions aim to drive a comprehensive transformation of the power generation industry—from experience-driven to data-driven operations, and from passive response to proactive decision-making—helping to build a safe, efficient, and green new power system.
The intelligent O&M agent for power equipment, jointly developed by Beijing Bohua Xinzhi Technology and Huawei, is built on a mechanism-based, AI-driven approach. It provides end-to-end predictive maintenance capabilities for critical power equipment, covering data acquisition, intelligent alerts, precise diagnosis, root cause analysis, intelligent decision-making, and closed-loop maintenance.
This agent integrates three core technology engines: a large time-series model for anomaly detection and trend prediction; a mechanism- and ontology-based reasoning engine that uses a knowledge graph to precisely identify fault root causes; and an LLM agent that spans the entire workflow, providing alarm explanations, handling suggestions, and automated report generation. The system delivers an alert accuracy of over 95%, enabling intelligent equipment O&M with earlier warnings, accurate diagnosis, trustworthy results, and closed-loop workflows. This offers enterprises a new approach to proactive, efficient, and reliable equipment health management.
Yueneng Technology, in partnership with Huawei and driven by their mission of serving the energy sector through digital innovation, is advancing joint innovation in AI for energy. Leveraging Huawei's computing power and ICT infrastructure alongside Yueneng Technology's expertise, data, and technical capabilities, the two companies have jointly developed an edge-AI-driven inspection and maintenance solution for power stations, bringing AI deeper into new energy generation sites.
This solution focuses on key areas such as plant operation, equipment inspection, fault warnings, and decision support, driving the tighter integration of data, algorithms, and business processes. According to the solution's performance data, a single drone dock provides an inspection capacity of 50 MW per day, improving inspection efficiency by 80%. Fault identification accuracy is at least 95%, with fault response time under one hour, reducing O&M costs by 70%. By improving inspection efficiency and strengthening fault detection and response, the solution helps power plants transition from experience-based operations to data-driven operations, and from reactive response to proactive decision-making. This enables renewable energy companies to operate more safely, reduce costs, improve efficiency, and advance the low-carbon transition.
Built on the regional weather model jointly developed with Huawei, Jiutian Weather's centralized power forecasting solution overcomes the compute and timeliness bottlenecks of conventional numerical forecasting, enabling minute-by-minute, high-precision and dynamic weather prediction. By integrating on-site meteorological data, the solution significantly improves wind and solar power forecasting accuracy, giving renewable energy enterprises the data needed to meet grid assessment requirements and optimize power dispatch while improving operational efficiency across the industry.
The solution is now deployed across multiple provinces, with forecasting accuracy validated through field testing. It is accelerating the deeper integration and large-scale adoption of "weather + AI" in the new energy sector.
Huawei will continue to work with partners to drive deeper application of AI, big data, and cloud computing in power generation. Through open cooperation, Huawei aims to support the safe, green, and efficient development of the power industry and advance the global energy transition.
