Providing High-Quality Service to Ensure Communications

Shenzhen, China, September 7, 2010 – Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. announced that it won the bid to construct data networks for 15 high-speed passenger dedicated lines (PDLs) in China with its datacom products for enterprise networks (such as routers and LAN switches). These PDLs includes Wuhan-Guangzhou, Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong, Shanghai-Hangzhou, and Shanghai-Ningbo high-speed railway lines. Huawei provides high-quality communication ensurance service, which is secure, reliable, and professional, for building world-leading high-speed railways in China.

China high-speed PDLs feature high speed, density, reliability, and service quality. These features set higher requirements for the reliability, availability, maintainability, and security of communication, signal, and information systems. Huawei provides routers, LAN switches, unified NMS software, and customized solution for the project.

Huawei NE-series routers support complete end-to-end solutions with high security and reliability, and industry-leading full-service bearing ability. The S-series LAN switches of Huawei feature high capacity, energy-saving, and high-density design. In addition, Huawei NMS can implement unified integration management, visual O&M, and visual end-to-end service provisioning. These features significantly ensure proper running of key services in the information system of high-speed PDLs.

Li Weishi, president of the enterprise network product line under Huawei datacom department, comments: "Huawei provides high-quality services and customized solutions for enterprises in addition to high-quality products." The communication system of high-speed railways constructed by Huawei ensures the security and reliability of high-speed railways and provides high-quality communication solutions for China Ministry of Railways to build world-leading high-speed railways."
