DEMO Program

Overview

The Huawei Demo Program (HDP) gives eligible partners generous discounts on hardware and software used for partners’ own laboratories, demo centers, and sales office infrastructure. HDP aims to improve awareness, experience, and branding of Huawei technologies, products, and solutions.

Eligibility

All certified partners (distributors, VAPs, Tier 2 partners, HALPs, GPs, CRPs, and solution partners) are eligible for HDP discounts.  

Eligible products include servers and the products in Huawei’s List of Authorized Products Eligible for Channel Partner Incentives (LAPI).The LAPI contains product model details and is sent to partners by sales letter twice a year. The following table summarizes the discounts available now.

Terms and Conditions

1.If approved by a Huawei regional EBG director, the stock of products in LAPI are eligible for demo discounts.

2.Demo products cannot be sold within one year after the shipment date.

3.All demo products must be put to partners’ internal use only:
  • Office infrastructure
  • Laboratories
  • Solution demonstrations (PoC)
4.Internal use does NOT include:
  • Reselling, remarketing, or distribution of products to end users
  • Supporting the provision of managed services to customers
  • Using products to build out the network of an internet service provider

5.HDP cannot be combined or stacked with any other promotions or discounts.

6.Demo products with quality problems must be handled in accordance with the Dead on Arrival (DOA) process or the Return Material Authorization (RMA) agreement.

7.Huawei is entitled to audit partners to validate the presence and appropriate use of equipment and software purchased under this program.

8.Huawei reserves the right to change any aspect of this program at any time.

Demo Purchase Process Distributor and VAP

Tier 2 and other partners

Tier 2 partners, HALPs, and service partners must place Purchase Orders (POs) for demo equipment through distributors and negotiate with distributors about expenses such as customs clearance fees, freight, and taxes.
