[London, UK, 2 November 2016] The Annual Datacentre Dynamics Conference (DCD) was successfully convened in the Old Billingsgate Market in London from 1 to 2 November 2016. More than 4,000 delegates and 130 experts worldwide attended the conference this year to discuss and share the current trends of the data center. Huawei put forward a whole new concept of smart data centers, that is, "digitized, network-based, and intelligent" and adopting "all-integration and all-scenario" technical means, which make data centers simpler, more reliable and efficient, drive the evolution of data centers, and inspire people's interest in the development of data center infrastructure construction in the future.

With the explosive growth of data centers, it is predicted that the IT industry will consume about 10% of the global energy by 2020. For a traditional data center, however, finance, time, space, infrastructure, energy, and human resources have always been restrictive factors from construction to operation and maintenance (O&M). How data centers meet the needs of future development and become more energy efficient have been the hot topics of the DCD Conference.

Fang Liangzhou, Vice President of Network Energy of Huawei, shared Huawei's global strategy of network energy at the "Huawei Smart Data Center Workshop", and pointed out that "The Intelligent Society is approaching and will present many challenges. With the rapid growth of ICT, data centers have evolved from tools supporting service operations to important production systems making profits for enterprises. Building on heavy investments in the data center R&D over recent years, Huawei will continue its investment in the product R&D based on customer needs to build more high-performance data centers for global customers."

At the conference, Huawei showcased many full series product solutions that feature high-efficiency and intelligence, including the next-generation modular data center FusionModule2000, prefabricated modular data center FusionModule1000, smart small data center FusionModule800, battery integrated UPS, and NetEco smart O&M system. In addition, Huawei further expounded the concept of smart data centers. Sanjay Kumar Sainani, Regional Vice President of IT & Data Center Solutions in the Middle East Region of Huawei, said in his keynote speech "Leading the Way in Smart Data Center Facility" that "In the future, the construction of data center infrastructure is moving towards the 'all-integration and all-modular' development. Huawei's data center solutions will bring a series of technological innovations and transformations focusing on the modular data center and UPS. With intelligent synergy, theses advancements will break down traditional physical boundaries between products and achieve the deep integration and linkage amongst multiple products within the data center infrastructure to regulate and minimize self-loss and failure rate so as to produce more values for customers."
