Huawei Smart Energy Innovation Center Inaugurated in Nuremberg

[Nuremberg, Germany, November 10, 2016] Recently, the Huawei Smart Energy Innovation Center, has been inaugurated in Nuremberg, Germany. More than 80 European customers attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the experience center.

Huawei's “Smart Energy Innovation Center” is located at Huawei's European Research Institute in Nuremberg, Germany. A variety of solutions, including the data center, telecom power, smart PV, and intelligent energy management system solutions, are displayed in the hall. These digitized, network-based, and intelligent solutions are strong proof of Huawei's advantage in the network energy field. In this center, visitors can experience Huawei's intelligent network energy management, which is simple, reliable, and efficient, through physical objects, interactions, and real environment tests. Meanwhile, they can witness tests and demos of UPSs in different service scenarios onsite and better understand the benefits that Huawei products can bring to them. For example, they can witness the test of 97.5% modular UPS, highest efficiency in the industry, and the test of the largest modular parallel UPS in the industry, as well as experience smart convergent modular data centers and smart PV products. In addition, the Smart Energy Innovation Center has reserved room for smart development and product convergence in the future, and is able to improve its display capabilities to match the product evolution.

Dr. Fang Liangzhou, VP of Huawei Network Energy said at the ceremony that:"The next two or three decades will be a critical period for the traditional economy to transfer to the digital economy, and ICT will play a pivotal role in the transformation. National Broadband Plan in Europe and Industry 4.0 in Germany lead the global digitization trend and the ICT development. Huawei always attaches great importance to the European market and has invested a lot in R&D and made much marketing efforts in Europe. Due to years' of build-up, Huawei's European Research Institute in Nuremberg, Germany, has made many breakthroughs, for instance, new topology algorithms for UPS. Now, the “Smart Energy Innovation Center” in Nuremberg has been established. It is a fruit of Huawei's best practices and communication and innovations in Europe, an embodiment of Huawei's propositions of 'Blend in Europe and Contribute to Europe', and a bridge between Huawei and Europe to exchange ideas. It enhances Huawei's close cooperation with the European industry and academic circles and provides an open ecosystem platform for mutual learning, and experience sharing between customers and consulting organizations across industries. It will help Huawei further cooperate with European companies, and connect with wider global markets."
