CloudEngine 12800E Data Center Switches

Huawei CloudEngine 12800E (CE12800E for short) series switches are high-performance core switches designed for enterprise data centers. CE12800E switches provide open and standard NETCONF interfaces, enabling fast integration with third-party tools. CE12800E switches use the VRP8 operating system and an orthogonal design of Line Processing Units (LPUs) and Service Fabric Units (SFUs). In addition to providing stable and reliable Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching services, the switches support refined network O&M, including proactive network-wide path and connectivity detection, real-time monitoring of network health status, and intelligent fault location.

High-performance and fully programmable core switches supporting intelligent O&M

  • High performance: A CE12800E switch supports up to 536 Tbit/s switching capacity (1,032 Tbit/s in the near future) and provides a maximum of 256 x 100 GE, 576 x 40 GE, or 2,304 x 10 GE line-rate interfaces.
  • Openness and programmability: CE12800E switches provide open and standard NETCONF interfaces, enabling fast integration with third-party tools. 
  • Intelligent O&M: CE12800E switches support proactive path and connectivity detection on the entire network and real-time monitoring of network health status. The switches use Packet Conservation Algorithm for Internet (iPCA) technology to accurately detect per-hop packet loss, delay, and jitter, locating faulty nodes quickly.
